Jeffrey Walker has dedicated over two decades to the arts as a seasoned educator and director, joining the faculty at Thomas Edison High School in 2017 to lead the theatre and film programs. His professional journey in education began in Culpeper County, where he helped shape young talent at both Culpeper Middle and Eastern View High Schools.
Throughout his 25-year career, Jeffrey has produced and directed a diverse array of stagings. His extensive portfolio includes acclaimed titles such as The Diary of Anne Frank, West Side Story, Mamma Mia, and The Crucible, ranging from intimate dramas to grand musicals like Disney's Beauty and the Beast. He takes particular pride in his unique literary adaptations, specifically Dracula: An Undead Romance and the Synetic Theater collaboration, Peter Pan and Wendy.

Beyond the classroom, Jeffrey is a vital voice in the regional theatre community. He serves on the steering committee for The Cappies of the National Capital Area, supporting excellence in student-led productions. His expertise also extends to theatre journalism, with contributions featured in prominent outlets like Broadway World and DC Theatre Scene.
Jeffrey’s roots are firmly planted in performance and direction. Before transitioning fully into education, he was a mainstay in Southwest Virginia’s professional and community theatre circles. He remains active in the field today, leading summer intensives, performing with the Dark Horse Theatre Company, and helming award-winning productions such as Noises Off and Driving Miss Daisy at Fauquier Community Theatre.
